Sunrise Wild Turkeys

Spotted a group of wild turkeys while out for a ride on my e-bike.

I got a tip about a spot that might have some wild turkeys, and maybe even a few bucks, so I loaded up the e-bike and decided to check it out. About two miles into the ride, I hadn’t seen much, but then out of nowhere a bobcat darted across the trail a few hundred feet in front of me. Too quick for even a bad photo, but still encouraging!

I kept going a bit further before turning around, and about a mile back, I spotted this flock of ten wild turkeys grazing just off the trail in a field bathed in beautiful golden hour light. I watched them for almost an hour, grabbing a mix of tight and wide shots, but this one of a turkey flapping its wings ended up being my favorite. Eventually, they crossed the trail and disappeared into the brush. Now I just need to get back out there and try my luck with that bobcat again!
